As Halloween is right around the corner, we would like to wish you and your family a spooktacular holiday! Halloween is the time for ghoulish costumes and bags full of sticky-sweet candy. Though we want everyone to enjoy the holiday, we want to remind parents and kids that they must take good care of their teeth if they're going to have healthy, happy smiles. Dr. Jerger and our team would like to share some tips for keeping your child's teeth clean and cavity-free, even after they eat some of their favorite Halloween candy.
- Brush and floss every day, especially after you eat candies and sweets.
- Drink plenty of water to wash away bacteria from the teeth and gums.
- Don't eat any candy or treats with open wrappers or packaging.
- Get regular checkups with your dentist to keep your smile healthy.
