Happy March, everyone! Spring is right around the corner, and it’s the time of year when long-dormant flowers begin to bloom and peek their heads above the ground, yearning for warm sunlight. We, too, look forward to spring so we can enjoy the warmer weather and how the world around us wakes up from deep winter sleep. It’s also the time for spring cleaning for many familiesout with the old and in with the new!

But who says this can’t also be a new season to commit yourself and your family to a better, more diligent oral hygiene routine? At Jerger Pediatric Dentistry, we encourage you and your loved ones to welcome this spring season with a new outlook on family dental care, including cavity prevention

Cavities Are No Match for Great Brushing and Flossing

This month, we’d like to congratulate the following young brushers on our February Smile of the Month Club! These kids have shown determination with their brushing and flossing, and we are very proud to share that they have cavity-free smiles.

Excellent dental care from an early age can impact your child’s health for the rest of their life. At Jerger Pediatric Dentistry, we are here to help your child establish and uphold excellent oral health throughout their adolescence. We also help parents and children learn how to best care for their teeth and gums, including improved brushing techniques, the proper method of flossing, and how to eat healthier, smile-friendly foods. We are right here with you, every step of the way!

Clean, Cavity-Free Smiles Lead to Healthier Lives

Routine oral hygiene is essential for maintaining the health and beauty of your child’s smile. This means brushing twice daily, flossing once daily, and visiting the dentist for exams and cleanings every six months. During these check-ups, your dentist in Decatur, IL, will check your child’s mouth for cavities, gum disease, their growth and development, and more. Our team is also happy to discuss nutrition and oral health habits, such as thumb-sucking, with you so your child can have the healthy, comfortable smile they deserve.
