Every Child’s Smile Is Special
Every child’s smile is unique and precious, and there is no better gift than giving children the knowledge and support they need to keep their teeth and gums healthy and strong. Having a healthy smile begins in childhood, and we help our young patients and their families understand the importance of taking good care of their teeth and gums.
Dr. Bret Jerger and our friendly dental team began the Smile of the Month Club as a way to inspire and encourage our young patients to practice good dental hygiene, such as daily brushing and flossing. As a children’s dental office, we want your child to have a strong and healthy smile for life! We believe that creating healthy habits early in life leads to healthier, happier adults.
Combat Cavities with Great Dental Hygiene
We understand many children may have an affinity for sweets, such as candy or cake, but small smiles can also be the most vulnerable. Luckily, cavities are preventable and can be easily treated by your Decatur pediatric dentist.
Children can combat cavities by brushing their teeth twice daily and flossing between teeth once daily. We also recommend assisting your child in maintaining a well-balanced diet, replacing high-sugar foods with fruit and vegetables, and cleaning their teeth after they eat.
